The Yeezy story
A tighter, thicker re-engineered Primeknit upper than the original V1 wraps around a full-length Boost midsole, with a semi-transparent ribbed TPU side cage adding structure without stiffening the knit. The Sesame colorway launched as a deliberate rejection of the louder pairs dominating resale walls at the time, and it has aged into one of the line's most recognizable releases.
Yeezy launched in 2015 as a design partnership pairing Kanye West's eye for sculptural silhouettes with knit and foam manufacturing techniques built for scale. Its muted, tonal palettes and primeknit uppers broke from sneaker culture's usual loud colorways and reshaped what resale-driven hype could look like. The line's low-top runners and slip-on foam forms became some of the most imitated shapes of the last decade.
